Innovation Foundries was founded in February 2015 by Marco Mari and Carlotta Borruto, with the aim of building a creative company capable to leverage Education and New Ventures as tools of growth by innovation.
Just few months later, Cristiano Seganfreddo joined Innovation Foundries.
MARCO MARI, HEAD OF NEW VENTURES
Marco Mari co-founded Innovation Foundries.
He grew up in Valdagno, one of the cities that have made Italian entrepreneurial and capitalism history, where he was elected Youth Mayor in 2001.
While at the Law School, in 2010 he founded legalPAD, pursuing his dream to give back law to the people and for this project he was enlisted in the Fastcase 50, and nominated Innovative Thinker by Audi.
In 2014 he created WeHave The Future! - Law and Economics for Society, an International Summer Program for law and business students to hack the business model of 10 big Italian Companies.
CARLOTTA BORRUTO, HEAD OF EDUCATION
Carlotta Borruto co-founded Innovation Foundries.
She completed her studies in Management at Bocconi University, after a Bachelor Degree in Economics for Arts, Culture and Communication. She has run fundraising activities for the U.S. branch of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) in NYC and kept on working at the intersection of culture and business as cultural project manager.
Cristiano Seganfreddo is a creative entrepreneur and one of the leading figures of the Italian innovation scene. Columnist for several Italian newspapers and magazines, he is the general manager of Premio Gaetano Marzotto, the biggest Italian prize competition for innovators and startups. Cristiano Seganfreddo has got years of experience in the art direction of Italian Fashion brands and in the management of advanced innovation processes.
Dario Buzzini is one of the leading figures for the Interaction Design global scene. He has served IDEO as Design Director for 10 years, consulting and helping Fortune 500 clients to address complex challenges related to interaction design, from telecommunications and financial services to automotive and consumer electronics products. Over the past 8 years, Dario has collaborated with multiple international companies, including Artemide, AT&T, Eli Lilly, Fiat, Ford, Motorola, Novartis, Philips, Prada, Tecno, and Telecom Italia.
Giovanni Acerbi joined Innovation Foundries at its earliest stage.
He completed his studies in Law at University of Trento with a specialization in Food Regulations. He has also been visiting scholar at Vermont Law School.
